Biography

With a deep-rooted commitment to her community and a passion for family law, Marissa Conlin is a dedicated advocate for families in Pittsburgh and beyond. Known for her compassionate approach and resolute advocacy, Marissa is committed to representing clients who need a strong, empathetic voice in the legal system. She provides advice and counsel to clients throughout Allegheny, Beaver, and Butler counties, as well as other parts of the greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Specializing in family law, Marissa handles a range of sensitive matters, including custody disputes, divorce proceedings, division of assets and debts, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, protection from abuse, support, juvenile dependency, and estate planning. Marissa is also experienced in collaborative law and mediation, helping families reach agreeable outcomes without court intervention.

With a reputation for her unwavering dedication and insightful approach, Marissa has built a career by prioritizing her clients’ needs and guiding them through complex legal challenges with confidence and care. Her extensive understanding of the emotional and financial impacts of family law issues enables her to offer personalized, effective solutions tailored to each unique situation. Marissa earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law. She has been admitted to practice in Pennsylvania since 2018, and she is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and she regularly participates in community outreach to support families in need. Marissa is also a member of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania (CLASP) and the Mediation Council of Western Pennsylvania. In 2022, she completed her mediation training through The Conflict Lab and has been a collaboratively trained legal professional and CLASP member since 2021.

Born and raised less than 10 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Marissa has a strong connection to the Pittsburgh area and is surrounded by a large extended family, as well as many community ties. Outside of her legal practice, Marissa is passionate about volunteering and mentoring, dedicating her time to local organizations that support children in the area. Her commitment to justice and genuine empathy for her clients make her a trusted ally and a formidable advocate in complex family law matters.
